The course is composed of 2 modules.
With the first 10 week basic module, you will learn the fundamentals of Bag Making.
At the end of the 20 week program, you will reach a professional level, acquiring advanced pattern making, prototyping and accessory design skills.
The course mainly focuses on:
– Clutch bags
– Bucket bags
– Classic bags with compartments
– Saddle Bags
– Turned inside out bags
– Classic constructions with irregular shapes
– Bowling Bags
– Classic bags with hanging lining
– Accessory Design
– Branding elements
– Final Collection

Scuola del Cuoio is the leading academy in Italy for bag making and leather working. More than 2000 students from over 40 countries have attended the long-term programs.
We carry on this incomparable tradition.
FINAL COLLECTION
The final collection of each student is the common thread of the course, leading students to acquire the skills and the knowledge to put their ideas into practice. You will be encouraged to think and develop the essential elements of your own design identity.
You will conceive, design and create your own capsule collection, starting to define your personal aesthetic vision while thinking about brand building strategies.

Each applicant will be interviewed by the school’s staff in order to verify language skills and motivations. First enrollment fee of €2500 is requested to move forward with the application process. To start the enrollment process, please fill out the contact form.
-> PARTICIPANTS
There are no prerequisites. Personal motivation and vision will be the main aspects that will be taken into consideration and evaluated in order to be accepted into this program.
-> REQUIREMENT
High school diploma; a high-intermediate level of English or Italian language sufficient to understand and to participate in lessons; 18 years of age at the time of application.
-> ATTENDANCE
Attendance is mandatory. Classes and workshops are held from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
-> INTAKES
Our training programs start each year at the beginning of February and the beginning of September.
-> HOUSING
The school will support students in finding an accommodation during the length of the course. The costs of living are not included in the tuition fee.
